Sponsored by the Aboriginal Business & Community Development Centre: A woman of Aboriginal descent who has excelled within the Aboriginal Community.

A woman who has demonstrated an outstanding achievement in innovation within her community by implementing new processes or systems or creating a new product or service.

Sponsored by University of Northern British Columbia: To be awarded to a northern woman who has significantly contributed to the advancement of knowledge in her field and who has thereby made a substantial contribution to social and economic advancement in Central and Northern BC.

Presented to a young woman under 25 who has shownoutstanding promise or dedication to the pursuit of excellence in her field of endeavor.

Sponsored by Community Futures Fraser Fort George: This award is presented to the woman who operates a viable business from her home. The business activity can either be in the area of professional services or selling product and needs to be her primary source of income.

This award celebrates the young woman who takes a leadership role in promoting a healthy community and personal well being or is an advocate for environmental stewardship. This woman is a student of high school or post secondary education and is a role model for other young women.

This category is open to women educators who act as role models, who nurture other's career aspirations or who inspire their students.

In celebration of woman's achievements in a recognized profession, this award acknowledges and honors outstanding professional dedication. Nominees in this category must have a professional designation. For example: RN, RPF, P.Eng., CGA, etc.

Sponsored by Northern Health Authority: An award to respect contributions of women practicing traditional and alternative therapies enhancing physical, emotional or spiritual well being.

From the ranks of women who serve in any volunteer capacity, this award is for the woman who has given selflessly to her community. Although nominees in this category may be salaried in some other field, judging will be based on their volunteer work only.

Sponsored by Pacific Western Brewery: Recognizing excellence in business, this award acknowledges business success achieved over a two-year period. The woman chosen must be actively involved in day-to-day management and be an owner or a majority shareholder.

Sponsored by Dean Mason & Company: Women in Leadership: Celebrates a woman who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in her field or organization and who has demonstrated strategic growth opportunities for both the organization and its people encompassing expansion of the organization and mentorship, advancement or career development for team members.

Sponsored by The Women's Enterprise Centre: The Entrepreneur award honours a woman business owner who has been in business for more than two years and has achieved success by employing innovative strategies to grow her business which may include collaboration, new marketing approaches, and/or ongoing skills development.
