JoAnne Niwranski, Owner, SPECIAL EVENTS CREATORS ...
During the mid-1990s, JoAnne Niwranski recognized the need for major event planning which would provide regional businesses a showcase for their products and services. Combining extensive business contacts with her acknowledged organizational expertise, the trade show development which now defines Special Events Creators came to be.

Drawing from experience in customer service and advertising sales, JoAnne was keenly aware of the kinds of promotional and business opportunities that Northern business needs. She plans the shows to attract region-wide participation; to showcase new products and services; to provide interactive experiences for exhibitors and attendees; special presentations; and opportunities to relate to cabinet ministers and government officials.

With broad-based experience in community organizations, JoAnne also has expertise in media relations. She has given special focus to that role in her capacity as President of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Prince George and while serving on the executive of the Town Centre Business Association. She initiated organization of Women@Work - a networking organization which meets regularly. A northern chapter of the Minerva Foundation was launched in September 2003 in Prince George and JoAnne was invited to sit as a founding member of the Board of Directors.

Bringing an extensive network of business contacts to this enterprise, JoAnne has a rare understanding of the needs and aspirations of the business community in this region. Through regular contacts and wide-ranging discussions with individual entrepreneurs about business and future plans, she possesses a singular insight into prevailing conditions and trends. Very few professional business analysts could be so well informed or have such up-to-date information on conditions in the regional economy.

It provides an opportunity to learn what's new in business, careers, investment opportunities, fashion, health & wellness, cooking, recreation and so much more. "A Healthier You" Expo, Forum & Awards
FALL: Special Events Creators is proud to produce the annual "A Healthier You" Expo, Forum & Awards. "A Healthier You" Expo, Forum & Awards create an opportunity for communication, networking and education that may not otherwise occur. Participants will be able to engage in dialogue about making choices for "A Healthier You" now and in the future. This event consists of an annual trade show, a forum and awards banquet.

Prince George Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards
Special Events Creators designs the sets and manages the stage production of the awards ceremony. The contract has been awarded to Special Events Creators every year since 1997.

Snow Daze Winter Festival
Special Events Creators has been involved with the Snow Daze Winter Festival since 2001 with the contract to reinvent on of the festival annual events. The Mr. Prince George Pageant which features 12 prominent business men from the community.In 2002 and 2003 the contract to was awarded to Special Events Creators to manage the entire Winter Festival.

Classic Christmas Downtown Promotion
From 2001 - 2003 Special Events Creators has been awarded the contract with the Downtown Business Improvement Association to organize a Christmas promotion geared to drive traffic to the downtown merchants.This event includes a Santa Claus Parade, Santa Claus Breakfast as well as various contests and events.

Summer in Prince George
During the summer of 2003 Special Events Creators contracted with the Downtown Business Improvement Association to produce 3 high traffic events. They included: Crusin' Classics Show 'n' Shine Car Show held in June, Prince George Grand Prix, Provincial Go-Kart Races held in July and the Prince George SummerFest held in August.
