The 7th Annual Northern BC Business & Technology Awards & Banquet will be held Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Prince George Civic Centre. Cocktails at 6:00 pm, Dinner at 7:00 pm, Awards to follow. Deadline for nominations: January 9th, 2009

Nominee's must currently reside in Northern British Columbia for a minimum of one year. Specific criteria is established for each award. The recipients must be a role model for other entrepreneurs, business and organizations and have demonstrated leadership in their field. The boundaries are: South, 100 Mile House, East, to the Alberta Border, West to the coast and North to the provincial border. Each finalist must consent to their nomination and the publication of their name and photograph in connection with Northern British Columbia Business & Industry Awards.

WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY INNOVATION AWARD

This award will recognize all types of safety innovations no matter how modest, including the management of workplace impairment issues, planning for safety at the design stage of projects, engineering controls that replace personal protective equipment.
